What is a home inspection?
.A home inspection is a limited, non-invasive examination of the condition of a home, often in connection with the sale of that home. Home inspections are usually conducted by a home inspector who has the training and certifications to perform such inspections. The inspector prepares and delivers to the client a written report of findings. Adanac Home Inspection was founded by Darryl Braaten. Mr. Braaten is a former professional firefighter and safety comnsultantt who has performed numerous inspections in residential, commercial and industrial properties. Further to this Mr. Braaten also established a successful career and business in the construction safety industry helping owners with insight into their homes, commercial and industrial properties while performing knowledgeable inspections and investigations of these facilities.
Why should you consider a home inspection?
Ensure the home you buy is a good investment
Inspection of the accessible areas may reveal mechanical or structural issues within the house that may need the assessment by a registered engineer or other specialized journeymen as to the present condition of the property. With the assistance of other professionals they and your inspector can reveal upcoming or long term costs that may be associated with the property and assist you in determining your purchase options
A home is likely the biggest purchase you will make
Unlike the next biggest purchase consumers make, which is typically a vehicle. We tend to take that vehicle into a garage for a mechanical inspection, why wouldn't you want to know about certain undisclosed defects that may exist inside a home. That is why you should have it inspected
Understand maintenance costs before purchase
The inspection may reveal certain defects that need to be addressed in the short term and an understanding that additional costs may be incurred or can be negotiated out of the sale price in consideration of the expenditure the buyer may have to make
Ensure that your home will be a safe place to live
A home inspection is a non invasive, visual examination of the accessible areas of a residential property, performed for a fee which is designed to identify defects within specific systems and components as defined in the InterNACHI Home Inspection Standards of Practice
